About the ArtistMarcia Santore is a contemporary painter. Her work uses vivid color, intriguing texture, and image-based abstraction to convey mystery and movement. Santore has exhibited her paintings, collages, and other art work in solo, juried, and group exhibitions throughout the United States, and her artwork is held in public and private collections in the U.S. and abroad.
Santore has lived in New England, California, Minnesota, New York, and Texas and has enjoyed traveling throughout the U.S. and Europe. She holds a BFA in studio art with an emphasis in painting and drawing from the University of Texas at Austin. Today she maintains a studio in Plymouth, New Hampshire. She has also curated several exhibitions, and as a member of the Women’s Caucus for Art, organized many more. Santore has written about art and artists on her blog artYOP!, as well as for Artscope magazine and other publications. She welcomes studio visits, is happy to give artist talks or presentations about her work, and welcomes curatorial opportunities. |
